Specialized English for the Beverage Industry

Our courses are not generic business English programs. They are designed exclusively for professionals in the alcoholic beverage industry, with a focus on wine, beer, and spirits. Every lesson integrates real-world materials — from export documentation and compliance regulations to tasting notes, trade fair presentations, and marketing campaigns.

Whether you are an export manager negotiating contracts, a sommelier describing products to international clients, or a marketing professional preparing a global campaign, our courses ensure that the language you learn is immediately relevant and applicable to your work.

About

Our Teaching Principles

Student-Centric Learning

  • Your professional challenges drive the content of lessons.
  • Feedback is immediate, practical, and directly tied to your communication needs.
  • You gain confidence in real business contexts, not just in theory.

Task-Based Learning

  • Each task mirrors a real situation in the beverage industry, ensuring that your new language skills are directly transferable to your workplace.
  • Language emerges naturally from the task, with feedback and vocabulary support provided at the point of need

Project-Based Learning

  • Work on extended practical projects that combine skills across reading, writing, speaking, and listening.
  • Projects encourage collaboration, problem-solving, and creativity while staying rooted in professional practice.

What

We can help you with

Grammar

Like a good wine, language needs balance, and for that there is grammar. Our courses enable you to understand and apply grammar in situations that matter to you.

Vocabulary

The wine industry is well-known for its colourful yet complicated vocabulary spanning many contexts. Our courses help you to become not just familiar, but fluent through contextual practice.

Confidence

Confidence is key to effective communication which is why we put so much emphasis on designing courses with a learning environment that helps students to speak fluidly.

Why choose us

Find Your Voice In The Wine Industry

Designed by Chris Bryce, a former IMC Krems University lecturer and business English teacher of 10 years, our courses make use of student-centred educational techniques, with industry focused tasks and activities that put your career at the heart of your learning. Every topic covered, from harvest to export, from marketing to restaurant service, is always in the context of the wine industry and includes relevant trade terms.

Studying, working and teaching in the wine industry highlighted the specialist language needs of wine professionals. Working and training as a business English teacher taught me how to help people fulfil those needs.

This combined love of wine and education has given me the motivation and passion to create courses that help students to find their voice within the industry they love.
